"Women have a tendency to want to help other women. There is no other organization that surrounds you with other like-minded women whose mission is to help you succeed."
This is just one of the many quotes from the focus groups sessions held last year. We wanted to find out why our members joined FEW and why they continue their membership each year. The reasons for joining and staying with FEW were fairly common:
·To grow my professional network
·To be involved in the community
·To get to know other professional women who share similar challenges and opportunities
·To have a low-pressure venue where it is possible to simply “show up” and enjoy a monthly lunch program with peers
About 20 new members decided to join us last year and when new members were asked about how they learned of FEW we were told they learned by: invitations from their peers, connections in their professional network and other people in their organization who are current or past members of FEW.
Word of mouth is the most effective form of recruiting members so bring a guest and join me and your fellow FEW members this month to hear from Joel Ackerman who will discuss the advances in technologies and services available to people who are becoming or will become “caregivers” to parents or other seniors.
THANK YOU for your past membership in FEW. We hope you have benefited from the consistent networking opportunities that FEW membership makes possible. It's time to renew memberships for 2012 and we sincerely hope you will continue your FEW membership. We have a great lineup of dynamic speakers and direct networking opportunities with the area's most influential and respected women leaders in store for 2012. Renew online by clicking "Renew Membership" in the menu at the left side of this screen.
We look forward to having you as a member as we move forward!
