Women's Assistant Hockey Coach at SCSU, former Olympia Jinelle Siergiej's journey growing up in the sport of Hockey has brought her many experiences including playing on the USA Olympic hockey team and taking the silver medal in the 2010 Olympics. Those experiences have helped her develop mental toughness, perseverance, and have contributed to her success in life. She will be sharing those experiences and her story with us in March. 

Siergiej joined the staff at SCSU in 2014-15 as an assistant coach and was promoted to Associate Head Coach prior to the start of the 2019-20 season.

Jinelle Siergiej begins her seventh season with the women's hockey program at St. Cloud State University in 2019-20. Siergiej most recently served as an assistant coach at Robert Morris University during the 2013-14 season.  A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Siergiej played hockey for the Badgers from 2004-08. She gained All-WCHA honors in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and was selected to the WCHA All-Rookie team in 2005. At Wisconsin, Siergiej was part of two national title teams in 2006 and 2007 and left the campus as UW's all-time leader in goals, game-winning goals and power-play goals.

Siergiej represented the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics and helped the USA women's hockey team gain silver medalist honors that year.  She participated in the world championships with Team USA in 2007 and was part of the Four Nation's tournament with Team USA in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
